Daniel Crain, Former CTO, Brocade; COO of Global Systems, Morgan Stanley; and EVP of StorageApps
Mr. Crain has nearly 25 years in the technology industry, as both a supplier and a consumer. Crain was most recently Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Brocade Communications, where he was responsible for new technologies as well as the company’s technology vision and strategy.
Prior to his work with Brocade, Crain was a technology director at Deutsche Bank/Scudder Funds with responsibility for global data storage and global IT engineering. He was a founder and executive vice president of StorageApps, where he was responsible for engineering, service and manufacturing, where he was instrumental in bringing the first storage virtualization and replication appliance to market. At Morgan Stanley, he served as vice president and chief operating officer of Global Distributed Systems. His industry experience spans the aerospace, enterprise software, investment banking, and information technology industries.
Crain received a BS in Industrial Engineering from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn New York.
