Connie DeanConnie Dean, Director, Customer Advocacy, Microsoft Corporation

Connie Mitchell Dean has over twenty-six years of information technology experience in a variety of systems design, sales and marketing, management, and strategy positions. In her current role, Connie is responsible for program development and customer outreach including promoting, engaging, and partnering with our customers on intellectual property strategies and investments.  

Connie has lead vertical sales and marketing efforts in both the public and communications sectors. As a vertical industry manager, she has held roles as sales executive, marketing manager, business strategist, spokesperson, and partner relationship management. She is also the program manager for Microsoft’s Interoperability Executive Customer (IEC) Council. 

Prior to Microsoft, Connie worked at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in various technical writing, training, and account management positions within the EDS Government and Insurance Group.  

Connie holds an M.A. graduate degree from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and a B.A. from Elmira College in Elmira, New York where she graduated summa cum laude and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She is an active member of her community in Albany, New York where she resides with her husband and two children.
